After uploading your information, a doctor will take your call immediately. Once the call is completed, the doctor will record the call in the application's electronic medical record (EMR).

Do I have to pay to access the service?

If your health insurance, company, or provider informs you that you have access to the service and provides you with a reference number, you can access it for free and call the doctors at no cost.

How are the doctors selected?

Each professional at Llamando al Doctor is a qualified and trained doctor, capable of answering queries within their specialty. Any doctor available to assist you will provide you with the best service.

What should I do if the doctor I want to speak with is not available?

All Llamando al Doctor physicians are trained to respond to inquiries within their specialty. If for some reason you need to speak with a particular doctor, you will need to wait until he or she is available. You can check the availability of your favorite doctor from the “Doctors” section.

What should I do if the time available on a call expires?

In case of exceeding 7 (seven) minutes of conversation, the call will be automatically cut off. If you want to continue talking to the doctor, you will have to call him/her again.

Do I need WiFi to use the service?

The minimum connection required is 4G/LTE or a high-speed Wi-Fi connection.

Can I call the pediatrician to treat my child?

If contacting through health insurance/coverage, the call must always be made using the pediatric patient's user account. If contacting through an insurer, the account holder can call and inquire about their child.

If you have already used up all your calls for the month, you will have to wait until the next month.

Can I receive a medical note?

Yes, we will issue a medical note and orders (e.g., ultrasounds). You will have access to these prescriptions as long as your provider has this option enabled.

What kind of consultations can I do?

Only low complexity and primary health care consultations.

Remember that Llamando al Doctor is NOT an emergency medical service!

If the user has an emergency, he/she must immediately contact the Emergency Medical line.

How can I register to use Llamando al Doctor?

To register you must enter your ID number and the validator. Then enter your email and follow the steps provided in the app. If you have a Gmail account, we recommend using this option.

What is the validator?

It is an identification number that will depend on the company that provides the service.

Are you a health insurance member?

Log in with the member number found on your membership card.

Are you a client of an insurance company?

Enter the reference number found at the top of the policy covers.

Does Llamando al Doctor offer digital prescriptions?

Yes. You will find your prescriptions in every detail in the “Calls” section.

In some occasions the service is in high demand of calls. We ask you to call without hanging up and please be patient because there are doctors 24 hours a day waiting for your consultation. Usually our doctors answer in less than two minutes, but if necessary please wait 15 minutes.

I call the doctor, but the call is cut off.

Please check that you have good internet quality (either WiFi or cellular data). You can try calling with WiFi and then switch to data if either option does not work. The service works fine, you just need a good internet connection. Once you get it, try calling again, there are doctors available 24 hours a day waiting for your consultation.
